About the
Okanagan International Film Festival (OKIFF) 2026
Set against the stunning backdrop of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, the inaugural Okanagan International Film Festival (OKIFF) will debut in October 2026, marking a bold new chapter for the region’s rapidly growing film and television industry. More than just a celebration of cinema, OKIFF is a week-long experience featuring indigenous culture, Merlot-carpet galas, local food and wine experiences, exclusive film premieres, industry panels, hands-on workshops, interactive experiences and networking events that enhance the attendee experience, but also connect emerging talent with seasoned professionals. Co-founded by Damon Gregory, Dalias Blake, and Shannon Owens—with support from James Alton (Kelowna Film Studios) and Norm Coyne (Fan Con), the festival aims to spotlight the Okanagan as a world-class destination for storytelling and screen production.
